For a limited time spanning between the dates March 17 and April 5, take a nostalgic trip with a shop dedicated to an anime from the time where magical girls were a popular theme for many shows. Today Toei Animation has announced that the shop is to be dedicated to the anime “Ojamajo Doremi” the fantasy show that featured the adventures of a group of young girls as cute witches.
The story is as goes, 3rd grader Doremi Harukaze considers herself to be the unluckiest pretty girl ever. This is not what makes this protagonist interesting however, what makes Doremi unique is her interest in the world of witchcraft, it is because of this interest that she is finds herself coming across a mysterious shop where she encounters Majo Rika, an actual witch. But with the reveal of her identity, a curse acts upon Rika and she is turned into a magical frog.
From this, to Doremi’s delight, Majo Rika takes her under her wing and turns her into a witch so that she may teach her magic and gain her human form back. It is not long however before Doremi’s two friends Hazuki Fujiwara and Aiko Senoo discover their friend’s new identity as a magic user and how it came to be. Fearing that Doremi too will turn into a magical frog from being exposed to her friends, Majo Rika turns them into witches as well. This is the tale of the three girls as apprentices into becoming a witch and returning Majo Rika’s human form.
For the shop, it will be located on the third floor of the Ikebukuro P’PARCO department store and is to be found at the Limited Base Section.
