Cardcaptor Sakura is without a doubt one of the CLAMP’s most successful franchise. Started as popular manga in the 90s, the story is about a girl named Sakura Kinomoto doing what she can to retrieve the Clow Cards before they wreck havoc into the world. The manga currently has a sequel and a new anime series is also in the works.
Last December 11, a die-hard Cardcaptor Sakura fan from Peru received a Guinness Book of World Records for the largest collection. Now that’s true fan dedication! Below is a video that feature’s the Cardcaptor Sakura collection of Sofia Pichichua:
She started her collection when was 17 years old ranging from dolls, stuff toys, figurines, and various versions of the manga and DVD releases of the series. The most expensive item in her collection was the magazine when the first chapter of Cardcaptor Sakura was released. She owns a total of 1,086 items which has an overall cost of 15,000 US dollars.
With the franchise celebrating its 20th anniversary, it’s expected that Sophia will add more stuff to her collection this year and in the future.
