Posted in: Anime News

Stemming from the year 2008-2009 is a romantic comedy manga series created Akira Fujiwara entitled “Koi ga Heta demo Ikitemasu” a.k.a “I’m Bad at Love But I’m Living” that from the announcement made on Wednesday in the March issue of Shogakukan’s Petit Comic magazine, will be gaining a live action adaptation for this year.

First launched in February of 2008, the magazine published a total of four compiled volumes for the series before Fujiwara ended it in November of 2009. Aside from this series, Fujiwara has also worked on a number of other josei romance manga such as “Abunai Show Girl” and “Love Blog!.”

The story for this series focuses on a career-minded woman that works in the sales department of her company named Misa. With little to no experience in romance, she works hard not only on her job but in keeping herself beautiful as well. Sadly however even with this, due to her pride, she is not only unable to act cute but she can’t invite people out, in result, men tend to back away from her.

Misa’s best friend and room mate on the other hand, Chihiro, is the complete opposite of her. Working as a receptionist at a department store, she is good with kids, passionate about volunteer work and does well in housework. Though contrasting in personality, the two see each other as sisters. But when Misa finds the man of her dreams, a shift comes into play as Chihiro is revealed to be having an affair behind her long-time fiancé’s back.
