The Space Battleship Yamato 2202: Warriors of Love (Uchū Senkan Yamato 2202: Ai no Senshi-tachi) anime film started to stream its first trailer this Friday.
Also known named as Star Blazers Yamato 2202, Space Battleship Yamato 2202 is a seven-part theatrical anime project that sequels story of Space Battleship Yamato 2199.
The sequel project’s first film is slated to premiere on February 25 in Japan.
The story takes place in year 2202, three years after Yamato returned to Earth from planet Iscandar. The goddess Teresa called Yamato to a new voyage, following the threat of Gatlantis slowly approaching the Earth.

The prequel, Space Battleship Yamato 2199, is a remake of Leiji Matsumoto and Yoshinobu Nishizaki’s original 1974 Space Battleship Yamato.
