Thailand to premiere ‘A Silent Voice’ Film in March

Early this week, Major Cineplex announced that it will premiere A Silent Voice (Koe no Katachi) anime film on March 23 in Thailand.

Major Cineplex said the movie will be screened with both English and Thai subtitles.

The film, directed by Naoko Yamada under Kyoto Animation, is based on the original manga series of the same name authored by Yoshitoki Ōima.

The story of A Silent Voice primarily revolves around Shoya Ishida, who used to lead the bullying of their deaf transfer classmate, Shoko Nishimiya. Nishimiya later transferred, and the bullying was shifted to Ishida. After a couple of years, Ishida and Nishimiya met again.

A Silent Voice film first opened in Japan last September, ranking as the country’s 19th highest grossing film in 2016.
