Staff for Live Action Film of "Tokyo Ghoul" Reveals New Visual Featuring Fumika Shimizu

Posted in: Anime News

With only a few months left before the scheduled release of the live action adaptation film for popular dark fantasy series by Sui Ishida, “Toyo Ghoul”, the film staff have released a new visual and logo for the film this Thursday.

In the previous month they had released a visual featuring the main character of the series, Ken Kaneki played by the male who played as Light Yagami in “Death Note” and Keita Amashita in “Phone Braver 7, Masataka Kuboto, placing on his ghoul mask. For this month the visual features the actress who played in “My Neighbor Seki” and “HK: Hentai Kamen”, Fumika Shimizu playing as the strong but reckless 20th ward Tōka Kirishima.

Not only does she get into character by donning the costume to pose for the visual but she takes on a new look that would come as a surprise for hardcore fans of the actress. As Toka has short hair, Fumika actually cuts over 30 c.m. (one foot) of her hair to match with her character. Quite the surprise for a number of people as she had been maintaining her long haired style for over 12 years.
With this dedication seen by the actors even before the release of the film, this film has the possibility of not only surprising viewers of the show but interest new viewers as well.
