In addition to the 250 ice and snow sculptures that will be up for display, there will be a special feature to be found in the 68th Sapporo Snow Festival. This festival is held one week in February and first started out with high school students creating ice sculptures in Odori Park. Now it is a widely commercialized event to showcase works of ice and snow to the public.

For this year the special addition that has been made is a call out to any anime fans who may know the show. It is none other than nine ice sculptures of the members of “Aqours” from the anime “Love Live! School Idol Project”.

What’s more, along with the appearance of the sculptures, fans will also be able to get the chance to buy goods at a booth in Tsudome at February 1-12 with further details on the products shall be announced at a later date.

The festival itself has a total of three sites, Odori, Susukino, and Tsudome. The first two sites shall be having the festival from the 6th of February until the 12th while Tsudome shall be holding the festival from the 1st up to the 12th.
