Anime Producer Yoshihiro Nozaki Passes Away

Yoshihiro Nozaki, Founder and Chairman of the Board of Directors of his visual design and editing company Shindosha, passed away on Tuesday at the age of 75.

According to the Mainichi Shimbun, the cause of Nozaki’s death is due to a malignant lymphoma. His family with hold a wake for him on January 19 with his burial to happen on the next day. Nobuharu Nozaki will be leading the wake with Yoshihiro’s wife Fueko.

Nozaki’s career in the anime industry began in 1963 when he was a production assistant at Mushi Production. He has provided and gathered production and reference materials for Astro Boy, Moomin, and Kimba the White Lion to name a few. He is also known for helping out in the production of Sunrise television shows like Daimos, Combattler V, Voltes V, Cyborg 009, and Armored Trooper Votoms.
