'Neko Atsume' Movie Releases New Trailer and Additional Cast!

In case you are not aware yet, the popular and cute smartphone application Neko Atsume will have its own live action film adaptation. The official website has released a new film trailer on Wednesday which also reveals its additional cast. You can check out the trailer below:

Additional movie cast include the following:

Tomoro Taguchi (live-action Gantz) as Asakusa, the heroine Michiru’s senior editor

Tae Kimura (live-action Densha Otoko television series) as Yōko, a shopkeeper at a pet shop

Kayoko Ōkubo as an odd real estate agent

Additional cast members are: Masahiro Toda, Hiroka Aoto, Sowa Ōmine, Tōshirō Muraki, and Usagi Ōyama.

To give you a little synopsis of the film, it follows an award-winning author and best-selling novelist Sakumoto who is dealing with a bad case of the writer’s block. As a way getting to a new start of life, he moved to a simple home only to find out that this did not help him with his small predicament. One day, he then become so intrigued with a cat who stopped by his garden.

The movie will premiere in Japan on April 8, 2017!
