Following the release of Natsume Akatsuki’s KONOSUBA -God’s blessing on this wonderful world!’s manga adaptation early this week, Yen Press announced in its official twitter account that the light novel version will also be out starting next month.

According to Yen Press, the first volume of the light novel will be on sale starting February 21 in paperback. It will be followed by both second and third volume in March 18.

KONOSUBA Volume I Synopsis

“Game loving shut-in Kazuma Sato’s life as a young schoolboy in Japan abruptly comes to an early end…or at least it was supposed to. When he opens his eyes, though, he sees a beautiful goddess that offers him a once in an after-lifetime chance to be reborn in a parallel world. The catch is that the world is violent and threatened by a growing evil! Fortunately, he can choose any one thing to bring with him. So he chooses the goddess, Aqua! And so his adventure with his gorgeous companion begins—if he could just get enough money and food to survive, keep his goddess out of trouble, and avoid grabbing the attention of the Demon King’s army!”

KONOSUBA -God’s blessing on this wonderful world! was originally published as a web novel series in Shousetsuka ni Narou in 2012. It was then revised and printed as light novel series in 2013 by Kadokawa Shoten’s Kadokawa Sneaker Bunko Imprint, with illustrations by Kurone Mishima. In 2014, Fujimi Shobo’s Monthly Dragon Age magazine began serializing its manga adaptation, illustrated by Masahito Watari.

Both the manga and light novel series were licensed by Yen Press in North America.

KONOSUBA -God’s blessing on this wonderful world! also inspired a radio drama CD in 2015 and a television anime in 2016 directed by Takaomi Kanasaki at Studio Deen. The television anime’s second aired its first episode in Japan early this week.
