BanG Dream Mixed Media Streams with a Live Performance on January 21

Launched in January 2015 by Bushiroad the mixed media project known as “BanG Dream” will be gaining a stream in line with the anime’s airing in Japan as announced by “Anime Network Online”. Though there are no details on which part of the project will be streamed it has been confirmed that the series will be premiering on January 21 in Japan at 10:00 p.m. on the Abema TV streaming service.
Afterwards the show will be running on the Tokyo MX, Sun TV, KBS Kyoto, AT-X, TV Aichi, Teletama, BS11, BS Fuji, tvk, and Miyagi TV channels.

As for viewers located outside of Japan, they too will have an opportunity to watch the show as the first episode will be undergoing a stream on January 21, Saturday. So long as subscribers are located in the areas of the United States, Canada, Turkey, Scandinavia, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, South Africa, Netherlands and Latin America.

The show itself is described as a story that focuses on Kasumi Toyama and how as a child she felt a deep heart-pounding thrill whenever she looked at the stars. In result she was inspired by this; however, over time, as she grew she began to lose this inspiration and yearned to find something that would bring back the feeling she had when she looked at the stars.

Now a teen she one day comes across a star-shaped guitar in a rundown pawnshop where she finally finds the thrill that she was looking for. With determination as her fuel she aims to create an all-girl band and searches for four other girls who seek the same thrill she does. From this she meets Saya, Arisa, Rimi, and Tae and now the five girls face the challenge of having their dream of stardom come true.

In addition to the streaming of the show it has also been released that there will be live performances that will occur along with the anime.
