Only in Japan - Chocolate Instant Noodles for Valentine's Day

So Valentine’s Day is around the corner. While some of you are now planning to give out the best bouquet of flowers and the sweetest of chocolates to the ones you love, Japan has released something that seems to go well with the upcoming occassion.

Created by Myojo Foods (a subsidiary of Cup Noodles company Nissin Foods) has released a new line of yakisoba noodles as part of its Ippei-chan Yomise no Yakisoba line, and this is none other than the shortcake-flavored yakisoba noodles. Due to mixed reception it received among its local consumers, they recently released a new installment which is fit for the upcoming month of hearts: the chocolate-flavored yakisoba.

This fried buckwheat noodles contain ingredients like cocoa powder, a salty chocolate sauce, as well as “mystery chocolate cubes” that go along well with the vanilla-flavored oil and cocoa powder. The noodles will be released in the local Japanese market this January 9 in preparation for Valentine’s day and each pack is sold at 180 yen.
