'Digimon' Celebrates 20th Anniversary with a Remake of Original Digital Monster Toy

Posted in: Anime News

As a way of celebrating its 20th anniversary, Bandai will be remaking its original Digital Monster keychain toys! This announcement was released by the company on Friday and the toys are now open for pre-orders.

The device will feature some old and exclusive Digimon like the new Digimon Zubamon. The toys will also include the first five versions including SkullGreymon, MetalGreymon, Andromon, MegaTyrannomon, and Megadramon. Darcomon (the 10th anniversary Digimon) and Hackmon (15th anniversary Digimon) will also be included in the tiny games.

The Original Brown version will be exclusive to Agumon while the Orignal Grey version will be an exclusive to Gabumon. The two mentioned as well as the other Digimon will still be able to reach their Ultimate Digivolutions. You can partipate in tag-team battles and be able to fuse your Digmon to make them even more powerful. Players will now be able to raise two Digimon at the same time unlike the previous versions that only let you raise one. If you raise your Digimon well, it will be able to reach its final form in just 48 hours (unlike the first version which take you around six days to get them into their Ultimate forms.)
