Funimation announces ‘Aria the Scarlet Ammo AA’ English dub cast

Funimation Entertainment on Sunday, January 1, revealed the English dub cast for Aria the Scarlet Ammo AA anime, adding that the series will also get a home video this April 2017.

Story synopsis according to Funimation:

“In this spinoff of the original Aria the Scarlet Ammo series, Aria Kanzaki, the flat chested dual-wielding Butei is back! And this time, she’s got a new partner. Akari Mamiya is a first year in the assault department and a low ranked Butei. She dreams of being as powerful as Aria, but her skills simply aren’t up to par yet. She gets a chance to be trained by her idol when she and Aria are matched as mentee and mentor, but it turns out there’s more to teaching than skill!”

Aria the Scarlet Ammo AA anime is based on the Japanese light novel (LN) series of the same name, written by Chūgaku Akamatsu and illustrated by Kobuichi, and was published by Media Factory. A manga adaptation of the LN, by Yoshino Koyoka, was serialized in Monthly Comic Alive in 2009.

The anime adaptation first aired in 2011 in Japan. It was directed by Takashi Watanabe and produced by J.C.Staff, composing of 12 episodes. It was also licensed by Funimation in North America, Madman Entertainment in Australia, and Manga Entertainment in United Kingdom.
