'Cardcaptor Sakura' Voice Actors and Staff to Return in New Anime Series This January 2018!

Good news for Cardcaptor Sakura fans! CLAMP’s Nanase Ohkawa is confirmed to handle the scripts for the upcoming anime adaptation of Card Captor Sakura Clear Card-hen (Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card Arc). This announcement has been revealed on Wednesday in the February issue of Nakayoshi magazine.

Morio Asaka (director of the first anime and the two animated films) will return to direct the new anime project which is slated for a January 2018 premiere. The following seiyuus will also return to reprise their roles. Below are the names of the returning cast:

Sakura Tange as Sakura Kinomoto

Aya Hisakawa as Keroberos

Junko Iwao as Tomoyo Daidōji

Motoko Kumai as Syaoran Li

Megumi Ogata as Yukito Tsukishiro

Tomokazu Seki as Tōya Kinomoto

As a way to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the original manga series, the all-girls manga group CLAMP released the sequel manga Card Captor Sakura Clear Card-hen last June 3. The manga takes place after Sakura Kinomoto graduates from Tomoeda Elementary School and into her junior high school year.
