Utada Hikaru Confirmed to Sing 'Kingdom Hearts III' Theme Song

In a recent tweet posted by Teruzane Utada on Friday, his daughter singer-songwriter Hikaru Utada is now working on a new theme song for the Square Enix game Kingdom Hearts III. Mr. Utada took back what he said on a tweet dated back October 2013 that he and his daughter will be working together for the game and commented that it is still undecided as of this time.

Hikaru Utada sang and contributed to the songs “Simple and Clean” and “Sanctuary” in the first Kingdom Hearts and Kingdom Hearts II games respectively.

She recently launched her “New-Turn Project” as her comeback to the music industry. After eight years, she has released a new album called Fantôme which was released on September 28.

Kingdom Hearts III will be released in both Xbox One and PlayStation 4. Confirmed worlds so far in this upcoming game are Big Hero 6 and Tangled.
