Hikaru Nakamura’s popular manga Saint Young Men is getting a live-action adaptation and is now in the works! This has been confirmed in the February 2017 cover of Morning Two magazine on Thursday. Yuichi Fukuda (director of Hentai Kamen) is confirmed to be the director for this adaptation as well as taking the responsibility of penning the script. Takayuki Yamada is the official producer of the project.

The manga was first published in the mentioned magazine publication in 2006 with Kondansha released its 13th volume last October 21, in which the cover imagines if Jesus and Buddha shared a low-rent apartment together in Tokyo. The popularity of the manga paved way for an anime adaptation which aired in May 2013.

A teaser for the live-action project has already been hinted since the magazine’s January issue with the website st023.com website featuring another teaser that says “Coming Soon 12.22”. The said announcement also contains images of the manga’s two main protagonists.
