Noitamina has officially announced that a new Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress anime is slated for a 2018 release. Although this is still a long wait for the fans, two compilation films, a drama CD, and an upcoming video game will be released to keep the series hype going.

The anime premiered in April 7 2016 with the season ended in July 1. This is a steampunk survival action anime that takes place on the Hinomoto island country where humans hide themselves in stations, fortresses geared against zombie-like beings call the “Kabane”. It is only the “Hiyajiro” (armored locomotives) that can go in-between the stations to deal with the “Kabane”.

A video game developed by DMM Games is scheduled to be released this Winter 2017.
