'Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress' Releases Game in 2017, Drama CDs Also To Be Released!

The Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress anime premiered on April 7 with its season ended on July 1. This is a steampunk survival action anime that takes place on the Hinomoto island country where humans hide themselves in stations, fortresses geared against zombie-like beings call the “Kabane”. It is only the “Hiyajiro” (armored locomotives) that can go in-between the stations to deal with the “Kabane”.

Additional details by Noitamina revealed that the series will have drama CDS which is a tie-in to its upcoming game from DMM Games. As of now, it is still in development and is slated for a Winter 2017 release.

The drama CD is an original epilogue story titled Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress: Dream of the Late Autumn Shower (Kōtetsujō no Kabaneri: Shigure no Yume) which will cover in two discs. These will be given as special gifts to those who will be attending the early weeks of film screenings of the series’ two compilation films.

The staff said the drama CD will have important story developments that are connected to the upcoming game with the original anime’s sequel.
