3 Anime This Year in Need of a Second Season

Posted in: Anime News

Throughout the year various high quality anime has been produced to the delight of different fans and the interest of anime viewers who are starting out. But for every good thing there is an ending and sadly with the less than twenty-episode trend going on in the latest anime in line with the promotion of the manga source a lot of good anime end their run far too early when you see how far anime have run in previous years.

Still even with the end of different well written anime the fans call for more with the following being one of the if not the most being demanded to have a second season:

Boku no Hero Academia

An underdog type of story “Boku no Hero Academia” is set in a world where over 80% percent of humanity are able to develop super human abilities such as metamorphosis and teleportation known as “quirks”. For the rest of humanity however, they are left powerless, and for this story it focuses on one such person, Izuku Midoriya. He dreams of one day becoming a hero but with the lack of any quirk that dream seems impossible for Izuku. But after months of gruelling training he enrols into prestigious high school for heroes UA High. Alongside his unique but talented classmates Izuku will come to learn what it means to be a hero even without a quirk

Mob Psycho 100

Kageyama Shigeo, an eighth grader with a lack of presence is a psychic, and a powerful one at that. Due to negative occurrences in his past Shigeo a.k.a “Mob” hides his ability through the suppression of his emotions. Trying to keep his abilities under control he finds con man Reigan Arataka, a “psychic consulter”. “Learning” under him Mob and Reigan faces off with different spirits each day as Mob simply wants to live a simple life, but with each encounter, Mob’s hold on his emotions threaten to spill over and once reaching a certain point, his emotions take over.

One Punch Man

One of the top shounen works this year One Punch told the story of Saitama, who in his words is “a hero for fun” and living in a world where superheroes is the norm Saitama spends his days fighting monsters as the strongest man alive. With his immeasurable strength Saitama is undefeated in the face of any monster. But because of this the bald protagonist has grown bored and constantly seeks stronger opponents to challenge him. In this quest he meets cyborg Genos who inadvertently decided to become his discipline upon seeing Saitama’s strength and together they face the challenges that not only come from monsters but what is known as the Hero Association.
