Hirune Hime: Shiranai Watashi no Monogatari (Napping Princess: The Story of the Unknown Me) is an upcoming anime film to premiere in Japan this March 18, 2017. Aside from the trailer officially streamed (see video below), a cover of the The Monkee’s song “Daydream Believer” by lead actress Mitsuki Takahata is also featured. This film will be directed by Kenji Kamiyama (Blood: The Last Vampire, 009 Re: Cyborg, Ghost in the Shell).
The movie sets in the year 2020 (before the 2020 Tokyo Olympics) and tells the story of a father and his daughter who is very close to him. The promotional poster for this movie shows the following text: “Why can’t we sleep like this all day long?” and “That dream is connected to my family’s secret.”
