Latest 'Yu-Gi-Oh' Movie a Box Office Hit, Earns One Billion Yen in Japan!

More than just a card game, the latest Yu-Gi-Oh! movie titled “Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions” earned over 1 billion yen (around $9 million USD) in the Japanese box office.

The film premiered in Japan on April 23 to over 137 theaters. It earned over 133,010,600 yen in its first weekend screening. The 4DX and MX4D version screenings started last September 24 and is still showing.

US and Canada premiere date of the movie will be on January 27 (originally, January 20) while Ireland and United Kingdom premiere date will be on February 1, 2017. Eric Stuart and Dan Green will be reprising their roles as the English voice actors of Seto Kaiba and Yugi Muto/Yami Yugi respectively.
