Posted in: Anime News

It was confirmed during the Fantasia Bunko Big Thanks Festival 2016 in Akihabara that the famous action fantasy light novel series High School DxD by Ichiei Ishibumi will be having a new anime series. The light novel series started on September 2008, and successfully yielded 22 volumes and 3.1 million copies in Japan since then. On November 19, the franchise’s third short story collection “DX 3 Cross vs Crisis,” will be available by then, with the first two collections “DX 1 Love Song to the Reincarnated Angel” and “DX 2 WorshipDragon-God Girl” already available.

High School DxD is not a newbie in the anime adaptation industry since it had been adapted into TV anime thrice: High School DxD(2012), High School DxD New (2013), and High School DxD BorN (2015). These three projects were all helmed by Tetsuya Yanagisawa and animated by TNK.
