During the Idolm@aster Cinderella Girls 4th Live Tricastle Story, Bandai Namco announced that they will be working on a new anime adaptation of the gag manga “Idolm@ster—Cinderella Girls Theater” and it will be released next year. The 5-panel manga is currently serialized in The Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls mobile app, and it is about the game idols’ comical lives from day to day.

The 2017 Gathering production will be in cooperation with Mankyu (Puchim@s, Donyatsu, Fist of the North Star: Strawberry Flavor).

The first anime adaptation of Idolm@ster—Cinderella Girls was based on the first game of the franchise, produced by Sunrise in 2007, and licensed by Sentai Filmworks. Later on, A-1 Pictures produced a television anime series in 2011, an original video game, and an anime film in 2014. The anime series was included in Crunchyroll’s streaming while it was aired in Japan.
