The 38th animated movie of the Doraemon franchise titled Eiga Doraemon: Nobita no Takarajima (Doraemon the Movie: Nobita's Treasure Island) opened last weekend in 369 theaters in Japan.
It conquered the Japanese box office on its opening weekend with 717,000 tickets sold woth 843,148,500 yen (around 8 million USD).

It was announced on the official website of Young Magazine on Tuesday that the anime adaptation of the comedy manga series Back Street Girls will be premiere in July.
Created Jasmin Gyuh for Kondasha’s Weekly Young Magazine in March 2015, the series centers on three yakuza men who were forced by their boss, also a producer, to become part of an idol group.
‘Touken Ranbu’ Gets First 1st Live-Action Film Slated for 2019Mar 7, 18 10am
From just a simple browser and mobile game, there’s seem to be no stopping the Touken Ranbu franchise. A live-action film project is officially green-lit and will open in Japan theaters on 2019.
The film will be directed by Saiji Yakumo (who directed Mars live-action) with script written by Yasuko Kobayashi (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Kagegurui, and Attack on Titan).
