From just a simple browser and mobile game, there’s seem to be no stopping the Touken Ranbu franchise. A live-action film project is officially green-lit and will open in Japan theaters on 2019. The film will be directed by Saiji Yakumo (who directed Mars live-action) with script written by Yasuko Kobayashi (JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure, Kagegurui, and Attack on Titan).

As a way to celebrate Dengeki’s 25th anniversary and 10th anniversary of the popular Macross franchise, both Macross and Dengeki Hobby will be teaming up to create life-size figures of Macross Frontier’s Sheryl Nome and Ranka Lee.
