The “Ikki Tousen” franchise gains a new anime as the Tokyo-based anime planning/producing company Genco announces a sequel to the two-episode OVA “Ikki Tousen Extravaganza Epoch.” Titled as “Ikki Tousen Western Wolves”, it will be having Takashi Watanabe who worked on the first anime, as its general director while Mitsutoshi Sato, the animation director of “Shokugeki no Soma: The Third Plate” will be acting as the series director.

The “Attack on Titan” series experiences a delay as the 48th episode, “Bōkansha” a.k.a. “Bystanders” has been moved from Sunday at 0:35 (effectively, October 1 at 12:35 a.m.), to October 7 at 0:35 (effectively, October 8 at 12:35 a.

A special screening comes in winter 2018 as the New York-based film distributor GKIDS announces their licensing of the 2016 documentary film, “Never-Ending Man: Hayao Miyazaki” The documentary features the 2 years of the master animator's life as he struggles to complete his work on a difficult project after coming out of retirement.

In just a few weeks, the “Gifū Dōdō..” manga will be reaching its end. Announced in this year's November issue of Tokuma Shoten's Comic Zenon magazine, October 25 marks the series’ end. “Gifū Dōdō.
