Mamoru Hosoda, the man behind fantasy films “Summer Wars” and “Wolf Children” now has official details released for his latest film with an official website opened by TOHO. Previously titled as simply Mirai before a trademark was filed for the the title “Mirai no Mirai” on October 24 by Studio Chizu, the film which was announced for a May release will officially release in Japan on July 20.

Although the movie received a lot of negative reviews especially on Rotten Tomatoes, The Emoji Movie is heading to home video with a Japanese dub release. Hard to believe but the movie will have popular Japanese seiyuus as part of the Japanese dub cast like Takahiro Sakurai (Suzuku in Code Geass and Griffith in Berserk) and Tomokazu Sugita (Food Wars.

Starting in the next issue of Shogakukan’s Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine, the mystery series, “Detective Conan” will be taking a break. This hiatus has been announced as creator Gosho Aoyama will be undergoing medical treatment and be given time to “recharge.

Last Sunday, the winners of the San Francisco Film Critics Awards was announced and Makoto Shinkai’s anime smash hit film your name. was nominated in the Best Animated Feature category. However, the award was officially given to the movie Coco, produced by Pixar Animation.

It was revealed on Monday in the official Pokemon website that the 2018 anime movie of the popular franchise is now in the works. It was also confirmed that the studio that will be handling the movie’s production are Wit Studio and its mainstay studio Oriental Light and Magic.

The fall season of anime is ending and so is many good series. But for every end there is a new beginning, and in this case, that is the winter season. With the winter 2018 season of anime on the rise that means new seasons for some amazing series like “Nanatsu no Taizai” and Overlord”, but more than this, it means all kinds of new anime will be released as well.

Only a few more weeks are left before the release of “Gakuen Babysitters” anime, four more cast/character members are revealed for the series. Based on the manga of the same name by Hari Tokeino, the series will be released on January 7, 2018 and aired on Tokyo MX with additional broadcasts to follow on Sun TV and BS11 beginning on January 09, 2018.

There may be a lot of new anime seasons and series that will be coming out in the following season but that doesn’t there aren’t any good manga to check out and enjoy while waiting for their release. From comedy to slice of life and a few action works too, there are a lot of manga that are released and updated each week and it’s a lot to choose from.
