Summer 2017 is going to be quite interesting especially for fans of Hajime Isayama's popular manga and anime franchise, Attack on Titan. It has been announced that the manga will have a stage play adaptation slated for next year as confirmed in the wraparound jacket band found in the 21st manga volume of the series.

2016 has been a ride for all of us especially those who work in the anime and entertainment industries. The official website of Kenichi Kurosawa has released a statement that he passed away last December 5 at the age of 48.

As many have predicted, Makoto Shinkai's successful movie Kimi no Na wa has now reached over 20 Billion Yen in box office ticket sales. That's a total of 15,391,716 tickets sold as of yesterday. The movie has been shown for a total of 102 days.

TOHO Animation's new 3D CG anime project titled Cyborg 009 Call of Justice has released another promotional video in their official website on Tuesday, showing the cyborgs battling with the Emperor.

Gintama fans, are you ready. The anime's official website has released a new visual on Monday with the staff from its previous anime adaptations returning for this upcoming anime production. ЯeaL (a four-member all-girls band) have confirmed to sing the anime opening song ("Kagero) while RIZE will perform the ending theme song ("Silver").

The ongoing manga series The Seven Deadly Sins by Nakaba Suzuki will be on hiatus to January 18. The announcement was released Wednesday on the first 2017 issue of Weekly Shonen Magazine. The reason for the hiatus is due to the mangaka being confined in the hospital after undergoing a medical procedure.
