A new anime on theme of people and their jobs comes to the screen on April of 2017 by anime studio P.A. Works. Entitled as “Sakura Quest” the anime depicts the story of a tourism bureau set in a small provincial town reviving it’s “micro-nation” tourism program, something that originated from a nation during Japan’s bubble economy period, a period in which over 200 micro-nations were produced.
Told through the perspective of five girls who work in the bureau and made to act as “monarchs” a.k.a tourism ambassadors the anime will be showing a year of their jobs in the industry and the growth and development that they will undergo.
It has been reported that the cast shall be comprised of Ayaka Nanase as friendly but serious protagonist Yoshino Koharu, Reina Ueda as bright and optimistic Shiori Shinomiya, Chika Anzai as the cool aspiring actor Maki Midorikawa, Chiemi Tanaka as the recluse Ririko Oribe, and last but not least Mikako Komatsu as former I.T worker Sanae Kōzuki and the only character to not dislike the province.
