Ten years had passed since Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion had been aired. The series was highly praised that it received a second season which then followed by spin offs featuring new characters.

Written and illustrated by Gosho Aoyama, serialized by Shogakukan's Weekly Shōnen in 1994, and premiering on January 8, 1996, “Detective Conan” a.k.a “Case Closed” is by far the longest running shounen anime to be known to date with over 800 episodes and 20 films and only continues to grow with audiences old and new still watching and enjoying the work.

p. CLAMP's classic magical girl anime series Cardcaptor Sakura returns to our TV screen. Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine earlier revealed that Cardcaptor Sakura: Clearcard-hen (Cardcaptor Sakura: Clearcard Arc) gets an anime series that will air on NHK in January 2018.

A new supernatural romance is ready to be shown on screen and its name is “Tsugumomo”. Written and illustrated by Yoshikazu Hamada, “Tsugumomo is a two volume series that tells the story of Kazuya Kagami, a young boy who never goes without his “Sakura Obi”, a gift from his mother.

Shoujo anime is known as the centre for all things sweet, cute and romantic to aim towards all the stereotypical interests of the female audience. This is not to say however that shoujo anime is all fluff and no depth, there have been shoujo anime that have left deep emotional marks to different audiences.

Hirune Hime: Shiranai Watashi no Monogatari (Napping Princess: The Story of the Unknown Me) is an upcoming anime film to premiere in Japan this March 18, 2017. Aside from the trailer officially streamed (see video below), a cover of the The Monkee's song "Daydream Believer" by lead actress Mitsuki Takahata is also featured.

The third and final Kizumonogatari movie titled Kizumonogatari III: Reiketsu-hen will be released in Japan this January 6, 2017. The official website has revealed a new visual on Thursday featuring Tsubasa Hanekawa walking in the rain holding a red umbrella.

In a recent Video Game Ranking list released by 4gamer for November 14-20, both Pokemon Sun and Pokemon Moon ranked #1 with a total of 1,590,629 weekly copies sold. The Pokemon Sun/Pokemon Moon Double Pack is ranked at #2 with a total of 151,379 copies sold the past week.

More than just a card game, the latest Yu-Gi-Oh. movie titled "Yu-Gi-Oh.: The Dark Side of Dimensions" earned over 1 billion yen (around $9 million USD) in the Japanese box office. The film premiered in Japan on April 23 to over 137 theaters.

On Thursday, the new key visuals for Yowamushi Pedal's third season has been released in their official website. It wont be long until we get to see the returning and new members of Team Hakone Gakuen and Team Sohoku soon.
