The official website of American distributor GKIDS has announced that they will be cancelling the scheduled limited theatre screenings of the Daisuke Igarashi film Children of the Sea (Kaijuu no Kodomo).

The Jet Girls are heading to North America soon, as XSEED Games has announced that they will be releasing the Kandagawa Jet Girls game for North America this August 25. The game will be available via PlayStation 4 and via Steam for PC.

The anime film adaptation of Io Sakisaka’s Omoi, Omoware, Furi, Furare (Love Me, Love Me Not) has now announced a new release date after being delayed by the current COVID-19 pandemic. According to the film’s official website, the anime film is now slated for a September 18 release in Japan.

The entire JDrama world was shocked last Saturday, July 18, with the news that popular actor Haruma Miura has died. According to police reports, Miura was found dead in his apartment Saturday morning.

It was announced on Friday by Mainichi Shimbun's Mainichi Weekly website that they have started publishing the abridged English version of Keiji Nakazawa’s eye-opening manga series Barefoot Gen. Known as Hadashi no Gen in Japanese, the abridged version was previously released in Japan in print that contains selected scenes and detailed explanations for the benefit of Japanese speakers who are learning English.
