Sanrio’s iconic character, Hello Kitty, is set to star in a new TV series. On February 6 the company announced that its beloved character will star in a new TV series entitled The World of Hello Kitty.

The upcoming Yuri Fair has released its key visual for this year, and it features an original Bloom Into You illustration by Nakatani Nio. Besides Nakatani’s illustration, the key visual also features a girls’ love live-action photography by photographer Minori Takahashi.

Aside from Parasite Eve which was filed for trademarks in Europe last year and in the United Kingdom as reported a few days ago, game company Square Enix has also filed two video game titles for trademarking in the United States and these are Secret of Mana and Final Fantasy Adventure As of this time, the company has not released any statement for its reasons of trademarking the said titles.

The anime adaptation of Coolkyoushinja’s Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid is confirmed to have a second season. This was confirmed on Tuesday in the wraparound jacket band of the manga’s eight volume. Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid was launched in May 2013 in the debut issue of Monthly Action magazine.

An anime film is officially added to the growing list of streaming platform HIDIVE. Love, Chunibyo and Other Delusions - Take on Me will officially be available for streaming beginning on February 18, 2019 at 10:00 am Pacific Standard time.

The newest project in the Gundam franchise, Mobile Suit Gundam Narrative, will be receiving a one day screening in an estimated 450 theaters in the US. The one-day screening scheduled on February 19 will feature the English-dubbed version of the movie.

Toronto Comics and Arts Festival (TCAF) has announced that their special guest is none other than the master of horror manga himself, Junji Ito. Happening on May 11-12 at the Toronto Reference Library, Ito is not only a special guest but the artist of the event’s official poster as well.

Game company Square Enix recently filed a trademark to Parasite Eve in the United Kingdom. Last year, they have filed for the same game title in Europe. As of this time, it is not for certain yet to what the intention of the trademarks are for.

It seems that the Hollywood film Alita: Battle Angel is off to s good start in the box office. In a report released on Monday by entertainment news source Deadline, the live-action film Alita: Battle Angel has earned around US$32 million in the United Kingdom and selected countries in Asia.

Sad news for fans planning to go to the Fate/Grand Order USA Tour: Kana Ueda has cancelled her appearance in the said event because of health reasons. According to her agency I’m Enterprise’s post on her blog, Ueda was hospitalized last February 7 after leaving an event due to poor health.
