Heads up to fans from Northern California: this year’s Fanimecon will guest well-known voice actress Aya Hirano. Hirano started in the entertainment industry when she was still a child, appearing in several TV commercials.

Some weeks ago Anime Boston announced that composer Yoko Shimomura, best known for composing the score for the Kingdom Hearts franchise, will be appearing in the convention once more. This year marks Shimomura’s second guesting in Anime Boston, with the first being in 2015.

It was recently confirmed that the total blockbuster gross of Love Live Sunshine: School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow in Japan has crossed the 1 billion yen mark. Mantan Web reports that the movie achieved this huge milestone on February 22, eight weeks since its release on January 4.
