There is absolutely no stopping Animal Crossing: New Horizons as it remains number one in the recent Japanese Video Game Rankings from June 8 to 14. Sekai no Asobi Taizen 51 is still in number 2 in the ranks while Ring Fit Adventure remains at number 3.

Anime fans, get ready to be hyped again as One Piece and Digimon Adventure: are confirmed to have new episodes again beginning June 28. Both anime series did not have a new episode since April due to production delays caused by the COVID-19 pandemic.

We haven’t heard much from Studio Ghibli for a while when it comes to animation is concerned. However, both NHK and Studios revealed some visuals on Friday of Goro’s Miyazaki’s anime of Earwig and the Witch.

The video previews two theme songs for the movie: “Hana ni Bourei” (A Ghost for a Flower), as well as the ending theme song “Usotsuki” (The Lying Moon).

Update trickles from the upcoming TV anime adaptation of Reiji Miyajima’s romcom manga series Rent-a-Girlfriend (Kanojo, Okarishimasu): the official website of the TV anime adaptation has listed the series with 12 episodes, with home video releases divided into four volumes.

American distributor GKIDS and Shout. Factory announced this Monday that they will be releasing Daisuke Igurashi’s animated film Children of the Sea (Kaijuu no Kodomo) in Blu-ray and DVD. The home video release is slated for September 1.
