Last weekend, Makoto Shinkai's Japanese anime film Kimi no Na wa has hit #1 in the South Korean box office sold over a total of 837,556 tickets. The movie was immediately ranked at the #1 spot during its opening day on Wednesday selling 130,000 tickets and earned around 100 million yen.
A new year with lists of new anime, live action adaptation and films are up in production that many fans new and old can look forward to. But with so many new anime and other works coming out it will be a hard pick on what to watch first and what to continue following.

Sega has released a new trailer for the game Valkyria Revolution (Valkyria: Azure Revolution in Japan) which introduces the Maxim, a character played by Kenichi Suzumura. The game is scheduled to be released in Japan this January 19 for the PlayStation Vita and PlayStation 4 platforms.

It was revealed in the second issue of Young Magazine on Friday that manga artist Masamune Yoshimoto will be launching a new "magical girl historical manga" series titled Maho Shojo Omatsu. The manga's first chapter is slated to be released in the magazine's next issue this February 5.
