NHK has reported this Tuesday that the demolition of Kyoto Animation’s fire-hit 1st Studio building is now complete. Demolition work for the building began last November. An aerial shot by NHK shows us the now-empty plot of land: No decision has been made yet on what to do with the location of the building.

A new teaser trailer has recently been unveiled on the official website of the anime film adaptation of popular smartphone game Tokyo 7th Sisters. The trailer revealed the film’s official title Tokyo 7th Sisters: Bokura wa Aozora ni Naru (We Will Become the Blue Sky), as well as the main staff for the film.

We’re all cooped up in our houses and are now running out of things to do, but thankfully the SOS Brigade (well actually just Haruhi and Kyon) is giving us something to keep ourselves busy with.   A Facebook post from the Yoru no Ki Japanese theatre troupe last April 24, Friday announced that veteran actor, playwright, and director Shu Wada passed away on April 23 due to pneumonia caused by the novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The upcoming TV anime adaptation of Reiji Miyajima’s rom-com manga series Kanojo, Okarishimasu (Rent-a-Girlfriend) has just announced the artists who will be performing the theme songs. According to the series’ official website, all-female rock band The Peggies will be performing the opening theme song while solo singer halca will be performing the ending theme.

A new Bushiroad project is heading to our TVs soon, as their newest multimedia project D4DJ (Dig Delight Direct Drive DJ) is confirmed to be getting a TV series. D4DJ First Mix, the official title of the TV series, has also released a first official visual.

Finally, a (small) update on this long-delayed film: Mitsurou Kubo, co-creator of the well-loved 2016 (gay) skating anime series Yuri... On ICE has recently revealed to her Instagram followers that she’s currently working on the Yuri.

Good news to all Moonies out there: we finally have some major news on the much-awaited Sailor Moon Eternal film (the first one). Last Thursday, Toei unveiled a teaser video for the first of two upcoming films.

It was announced on Friday by Bandai Namco Entertainment that the released dates for the upcoming video game Sword Art Online Alicization Lycoris is moved to July 9 for Xbox One and PlayStation 4 and July 10 in PC via Steam.
