The anime and manga community are no stranger in being the face for various promotional purposes from different companies and franchises. This time however, the government takes a hand with the promotional ability of anime with the introduction of two “moe” school girl characters to bring awareness over environmental issues to the youth that have found to be either ignorant and/or uninterested in the topic.

For a limited time spanning between the dates March 17 and April 5, take a nostalgic trip with a shop dedicated to an anime from the time where magical girls were a popular theme for many shows. Today Toei Animation has announced that the shop is to be dedicated to the anime “Ojamajo Doremi” the fantasy show that featured the adventures of a group of young girls as cute witches.

After announcing his retirement in 2013, Hayao Miyazaki returns and is now working on a new anime feature film. Studio Ghibli producer Toshio Suzuki revealed this in an event in the US that happened on Thursday.

In case you missed it, Yayoiso’s ReLIFE manga is getting its own live-action film adaptation which is slated to premiere in Japanese theaters on April 15. The official website of the movie released another preview which features the ending song performed by Sonoko Inoue titled “Sakura”.

FUNimation Entertainment released a statement on Friday regarding the data breach on its website which dated back July 2016. Some important information of its users like dates-of-birth, email addresses, and names have been leaked.
