The new Evangelion film, “Shin Evangelion Gekijō-ban :||”, is officially confirmed to debut in 2020 as a teaser announced the news. Shown prior to the screenings of Mamoru Hosoda's new “Mirai no Mirai” film, this marks around a year since the last announcement was made in regards to the film.

The anime industry has lost another great person. It was announced that Fujio Tokita, a Japanese voice actor and actor passed away. He died at age 81 due to a brain hemorrhage. His close family will hold a funeral service his eldest son Seiji as the chief mourner.

Anime Expo was hyped as the winner of the USA qualifiers for the World Cosplay Summit has been announced. In a tweet posted by the official World Cosplay Summit Twitter page on Sunday, Jewel Cat Cosplay (Julie Ziolkowski) together with her partner Christy Plasil-Tang were announced as the country’s representative for the World Cosplay Summit grand finals which will be held at Nagoya, Japan.

Toei Animation’s Hugtto. Precure anime staff revealed a new visual on Wednesday featuring Cure Étoile, Cure Ange, Cure Yell, and the two new characters Cure Armour and Cure Ma Cherie. Junichi Sato (director of Ojamajo Doremi, Princess Tutu, Aria, and Sailor Moon) and Akifumi Zako (director of Toriko and Fresh Pretty Cure) will be directing the series at Toei while Fumi Tsubota is in charge of the script.

It was confirmed in the official website of the Asobi Asobase anime that it will have a total of 12 episodes. The first episode began airing on AT-X, Tokyo MX, KBS Kyoto, and BS11 on July 8 and on July 10 on TV Aichi and Sun TV.
