Hey, trying to find out what the rules, if any, are there for carrying a shoulder bag or backpack in the con area. Thanks :)

Whatever you have, people carry around bags all the time. You can go to the ConOps which is where they check equipment for safety and give you the OK on your stuff. ConOps is usually just inside the hotel entrance, on the left side of the main doors.
