While news of the Coronavirus pandemic is still sweeping the news especially in Japan, the Japanese anime and video game industry has lost another great person after a battle with cancer. It was announced by AirAgency on Thursday that voice actor Keiji Fujiwara has passed away on Sunday, April 12.

An event stream held on Wednesday night has revealed the official movie poster visual for the upcoming compilation film of Shoujo Kageki Revue Starlight entitled, Rondo Rondo Rondo. Check out the poster below.

Production I.G. has announced last Sunday that their original TV anime series Kabukicho Sherlock (alternate title: Case File nº221: Kabukicho) will be releasing a six-episode original video anime (OVA).

This Tuesday, Sega has released a trailer for the new “Sakura Wars” game detailing the story’s “Demon Conflict”. Check out the trailer here. Something to brighten up the day of eager Rurouni Kenshin fans here: the official Twitter account of the upcoming live-action films of the series has just released seven new stills from the movie. Oldies anime fans, rise up. Early 2000s TV anime series Aria the Animation is celebrating its 15th anniversary this year, and what better way to celebrate such an occasion but by announcing a new project.

Running out of things to watch. Well, we’re all in luck, as Funimation has announced that they will be streaming the Rascal Does Not Dream of A Dreaming Girl movie in their site. The stream will only be for a limited time though, as Funimation has announced that the movie will only be available starting Friday, April 17 4:00 PM ET until Monday, April 20 at 4:00 PM ET.

Last March we reported that a “season two” for hit anime series Cells at Work was set for a January 2021 premiere. Turns out, the said anime project is actually an anime adaptation of Cells at Work. Code Black, one of the many spinoff series from the original Cells at Work manga series by Akane Shimizu.
