# “Fire Force” Season 2 Ending Theme Song to be Sung by Rock Band Cider Girl

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;">The official website of the anime adaptation of Atsushi Ohkubo’s <em>Fire Force </em><span style="mso-bidi-font-style: italic;">(</span><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">En En no Shouboutai</em><span style="mso-bidi-font-style: italic;">) has just revealed this Wednesday that rock band Cider Girl will be performing the ending theme song for the series’ upcoming second season. No title has been announced as of this writing. Cider Girl has performed theme songs for anime series such as </span><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">7SEEDS </em><span style="mso-bidi-font-style: italic;">and </span><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;">Fox Spirit Matchmaker</em><span style="mso-bidi-font-style: italic;">. </span></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-bidi-font-style: italic;">A trailer revealed last Tuesday previewed the series’ new opening theme song </span><em style="mso-bidi-font-style: normal;"><span lang="EN-GB" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;">SPARK-AGAIN</span></em><span lang="EN-GB" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB; mso-bidi-font-style: italic;"> which will be sung by popular solo singer Aimer. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;">The new season will be directed by Tatsumi Minakawa, replacing season 1 director Yuki Yase. Minakawa directed <em>Fire Force</em>’s episode 12 and will be supervising the scripts for season 2 as well. Other returning staff members are Yumenosuke Tokuda as chief animation director and Hideyuki Morioka as character designer. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;">All of the main cast will also return for the second season. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><em>Fire Force </em>(<em>En En no Shouboutai</em>) has been serialized in the <em>Weekly Shonen Magazine</em> since its debut in 2015. David Production adapted the manga into anime and premiered it last July 2019. Anime News Network describes its story as such:</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><em>“Terror has paralyzed the clockwork metropolis of Tokyo! Possessed by demons, people have begun to burst into flame, leading to the establishment of a special firefighting team: the Fire Force, ready to roll on a moment's notice to fight spontaneous combustion anywhere it might break out. The team is about to get a very unique addition: Shinra, a boy who possesses the unique power to run at the speed of a rocket, leaving behind the famous "devil's footprints" (and destroying his shoes in the process). Can the Fire Force discover the source of this strange phenomenon and put a stop to it? Or will the city burn to ashes first?”</em></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Besides <em>Fire Force</em>, Atsushi Ohkubo is also credited as the creator of manga series <em>Soul Eater, </em>which ran from 2004 to 2013 and was also adapted into a TV anime series in 2008.</p>
