# English-Subbed Trailer Released for Fire Force Season 2, Opening Theme Song “SPARK-AGAIN” Previewed

<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;">The manga may be ending soon, but the anime is far from that! The official website of the TV anime adaptation of Atsushi Ohkubo’s <em>Fire Force </em>(<em>En En no Shouboutai</em>) has recently unveiled an ultra-fiery new trailer! The trailer also previews the second season’s opening theme song, <em>“SPARK-AGAIN”</em>, to be performed by popular singer Aimer. <p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;">The new season will be directed by Tatsumi Minakawa, replacing season 1 director Yuki Yase. Minakawa directed <em>Fire Force</em>’s episode 12, and will be supervising the scripts for season 2 as well. Other returning staff members are Yumenosuke Tokuda as chief animation director and Hideyuki Morioka as character designer. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-GB" style="mso-ansi-language: EN-GB;">All of the main cast will also return for the second season. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><em>Fire Force </em>(<em>En En no Shouboutai</em>) has been serialized in the <em>Weekly Shonen Magazine</em> since its debut in 2015. David Production adapted the manga into anime and premiered it last July 2019. Anime News Network describes its story as such:</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><em>“Terror has paralyzed the clockwork metropolis of Tokyo! Possessed by demons, people have begun to burst into flame, leading to the establishment of a special firefighting team: the Fire Force, ready to roll on a moment's notice to fight spontaneous combustion anywhere it might break out. The team is about to get a very unique addition: Shinra, a boy who possesses the unique power to run at the speed of a rocket, leaving behind the famous "devil's footprints" (and destroying his shoes in the process). Can the Fire Force discover the source of this strange phenomenon and put a stop to it? Or will the city burn to ashes first?”</em></p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Besides <em>Fire Force</em>, Atsushi Ohkubo is also credited as the creator of manga series <em>Soul Eater, </em>which ran from 2004 to 2013 and was also adapted into a TV anime series in 2008.</p>
