We’re honestly not surprised with the recent Japanese Video Game Ranking, really! From April 6 to 12, Animal Crossing: New Horizons’ number 1 rank for three consecutive weeks is officially taken over by the recently released and highly anticipated Final Fantasy VII Remake. FFVII Remake has sold around 702,853 copies on its first week alone!
Animal Crossing: New Horizons is at number 2 with weekly copy sales at 292,876 with over-all of 3,324,600! Third place in the ranks go to Resident Evil 3 with weekly sales at 34,698 and over-all of 224,188.
About Final Fantasy VII Remake
The world has fallen under the control of the Shinra Electric Power Company, a shadowy corporation controlling the planet’s very life force as mako energy.
In the sprawling city of Midgar, an anti-Shinra organization calling themselves Avalanche have stepped up their resistance. Cloud Strife, a former member of Shinra’s elite SOLDIER unit now turned mercenary, lends his aid to the group, unaware of the epic consequences that await him.
