Funimation Delays SimulDubs for Current and Upcoming Anime

It was announced on Wednesday by online anime streaming platform Funimation that that they will temporarily stop their productions of their SumilDubs for the company to adjust and allow its production members to work from home. Which means for the meantime, there will be no new sumildub episodes for current and upcoming anime for the website. The company has also confirmed that the sumilcasts (in original Japanese language with English subtitles) will still be released and on schedule.

Below are the following current and upcoming anime series that will have its simuldub releases delayed:

Many companies especially those in the anime industry are currently postponing, cancelling, or on holding various projects and events due to the current Coronavirus pandemic. As of Last Thursday, the World Health Organization has already recorded 125,048 people are infected with COVID-19 in which 80,981 of them came from Wuhan, China. 3,173 deaths have been recorded worldwide so far. WHO reported that there are already 620 COVID-19 cases in Japan in which 15 have died. The tally has not included the passengers of the Diamond Princess cruise in which 696 people are infected. The mentioned cruise ship was docked in Yokohama.

The World Health Organization has already declared the Coronavirus as a pandemic and it has urged the public to remain calm and follow the necessary protocols implemented by health authorities worldwide to contain the virus.

About BOFURI: I Don't Want to Get Hurt, so I'll Max Out My Defense

After receiving an invitation from her friend Risa Shiromine, Kaede Honjou begins playing the VRMMO game New World Online as the character Maple. Lacking knowledge of the game, she allocates all her status points to defense. As a result, her movements are slow, she cannot use magic, and even gets attacked by the rabbits. However, she obtains a skill called "Absolute Defense" due to maxing out her vitality points, and a counter skill that kills in a single hit. A "mobile fortress style" novice with a poisonous skill that makes all attacks invalid and overrides all obstacles, she goes off to adventures, disregarding her irregularities.

Upon finding the bar and meeting the peculiar investigators, John learns that they are pursuing a case involving Jack the Ripper, an infamous serial killer. Due to subsequent events, John ends up driving Sherlock to the crime scene of a murder supposedly carried out by Jack the Ripper. Even though John is only there to enlist Sherlock’s help with his case, he witnesses Sherlock brilliantly uncover the truth behind the crime scene. However, he begins to realize that Sherlock is not only a genius detective but also an eccentric character.

As John continues to request Sherlock to assist him with his case, he finds himself spiraling into the detective lifestyle of solving cases beyond the minds of ordinary civilians. Through this work, John begins to see the true colors of the chaotic city that is Kabukichou and starts to unravel the unsettling mystery behind his own case.
