Over the past few years up to this point, millions of viewers hastily looked for new ways to entertain themselves.
The release of the Blu-ray/DVD of the “Cute High Defense Club Love!” OVA titled “Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE! ALL STAR!” is only a month away and Pony Canyon has just released its features with a 10-minute preview posted on Youtube including the special live event where the main cast will be making their appearance at the Ryogoku Kokugikan Sumo Arena in Tokyo on March 18.
Scheduled to be release on August 18, the disc runs for a total of 225 minutes and contains the VAs’ talk session, quiz battle, recitation, and stage performances as the anime character units, Earth Defense Club and VEPPer.
It was at the “Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE! LOVE!” event that news of the OVA was first announced and confirmed as the “final chapter” of the series with a graduation theme. Before the release of the Blu-ray/DVD however, there will be a screening of the OVA to be held in 8 selected theaters on August 26 and will run for a total of three weeks.
“Cute High Defense Club Love!” is an action comedy series featuring the unique concept of magical boys, first released on January 6, 2015. Created by Kurari Umatani, the series ran for a total of 12 episodes before ending on March 24, 2015. Prior to its run, the series had a spin-off manga titled Binan Kokou Chikyuu Seifuku-bu Love! started serialization in Pony Canyon’s web comics magazine online, on October 16, 2014.
The story of the series tells of a group of male high school students (Yumoto Hakone, En Yufuin, Atsushi Kinugawa, Io Naruko and Ryuu Zaou) who are in the, “Earth Defense Club at Binan High School.” They spend their days at their friend Yumoto’s brother’s bath house. One day however, a pink wombat-like being who begs for their help but they ignore it only to end up being dragged into battle and indvertantly turned into magical boys.
