Following their announcement of Cindy Lou Parker being set to play as Princess Latifah, Sentai Filmworks has released another person set to play as the English dub voice for the fantasy anime “Amagi Brilliant Park”.
The anime itself tells the story of the narcissistic, perfectionist and intelligent high schooler Kanie Seiya. One day he’s invited on a date to an amusement park known as Amagi Brilliant Park by the beautiful but reserved transfer Sento Isuzu. Upon arriving at the place however he discovers that not only is the place run-down but he also finds that the employees are all magical beings.
What’s more the so-called date is in fact a recruitment tour for the park’s manager and Sento is in fact a part of the park and known as Princess Latifah. When Kanie agrees to become the park’s manager he then faces the challenge of meeting a quota of 500,000 guest in three months or the park will close and the land will be redeveloped.
Now as announced by a video released by Sentai Filmworks on Thursday the man to play as the English voice of protagonist Kanei is Adam Gibbs; recognized for his work in multiple anime including “Kamisama Dolls” and “Grave of the Fireflies.
In additional news Sentai Filmworks has also announced of a release of products for the anime starting with the Blu-ray Disc, DVD and limited edition Blu-ray/DVD combo pack of the series on February 28. Included with this limited edition set are items including a booklet, sticker sheets, iron token, mirror button, metal pin set with card, authenticity card, park brochures, and a map poster.
There haven’t been much other details given on the production of the dub aside from the casting of the two of the main cast. Still fans can look forward to the upcoming product release and enjoy the video’s show of Adam voicing Kanie in one of the anime’s striking scenes.
