Fuji TV’s Noitamina announced during a livestream event on Thursday, December 15, that Scum’s Wish (Kuzu no Honkai) manga series will release its final chapter in Spring 2017.
The manga, written and illustrated by Mengo Yokoyari, has been serialized in Square Enix’s Big Gangan magazine since 2012. It is also published digitally and in print by Crunchyroll Manga and Yen Press respectively, both in English language.
At the same time, Fuji TV also announced in its newly opened website that Scum’s Wish will also get a live action TV series next year.
In the live action adaptation, Miyu Yoshimoto will play the role of Hanabi Yasuraoka, while Dōri Sakurada will play the role of Mugi Awaya.
Last March, Fuji TV announced that Scum’s Wish will also get an anime adaptation, slated to premiere next year.
The anime series, directed by Masaomi Andō, will air it first episode on Fuji TV’s Noitamina programming block on January 12. Amazon Prime Video will also stream the anime series in Japan and abroad.
Hanabi Yasuraoka will be voiced by Chika Anzai (Mary of Grimgar of Fantasy and Ash, and Chaika Travant of Chaika: The Coffin Princess), while Mugi Awaya will be voiced by Nobunaga Shimazaki (Satou Furuya of Ace of Diamond, Haruka Nanase of Free!, and Asuma Mutsumi of Kiss him, not me).
