The highly popular basketball anime Kuroko no Basuke will have anime film! Based on the series sequel manga titled Kuroko no Basuke Extra Game by Tadatoshi Fujimaki, the film will premiere in Japan on March 18.
Considered as a sequel to the popular anime show, it takes place after Kogami and Kuroko were officially second year high school students. The synopsis of the movie reveal that they will go up against an American street basketball team called Jabberwock.
Tickets for the movie will be on sale starting December 3, 2016. Advance buyers will receive limited edition A5-size clear file folders which feature each member of the Vorpal Swords.
This isn’t the only movie under the popular basketball series franchise. Apparently it has three compilation films: Kuroko no Basuke Winter Cup Sōshū-hen: Kage to Hikari (which will be officially stream in the Crunchyroll website soon), Winter Cup Sōshū-hen = Namida no Saki e, and Winter Cup Sōshū-hen – Tobira no Mukō (which will be screened in Japan from December 3 to 16).
