I also met a Mewtwo. Sickest costume ever. You could see the guy's mom helping him along with the leds and stuff.

I'm so glad it was a blast man. Thanks for the safety details, but you left out the best part, man. What did you do? What did you see? Whom did you meet? What goodie did you buy? I remember it like yesterday. I met Steve Blum, AKA many voices but especially Tom from Toonami. Went to his panel, got some spectacular life advice. I met a Broly lookalike, maybe some Trigun guys as well. Lastly, I bought the OSTs for Attack on Titan S1 and Ghost in the Shell.

travis_martens @travis_martens got stuff for the kids that was really hard. Got a set of dice for my oldest(he is a big DND player) a one piece tapestry for my middle kid. The hardest was my youngest he like the older anime everything i could find for him was to sexual for a young kid on the last day found and anchovy figure. Got a ring for my girl friend. Saw so much cosplay i could not name them all here.

It was in person up in Minneapolis. They had some pretty stringent social distancing rules with masks and hand sanitizing it was a little strange for me(my state has no rules or anything) once you got use to always waring a mask it was no big deal. There we not that many people there I heard that they caped it at 3000 people. This was my first con so i don't have anything to compare it to. It was a blast thought would recommend it to anyone looking to go to Metacon this Oct. and maybe take a few of my kids.

What are the details, Travis?!!!!! Was it virtual or physical with social distancing and stuff? How did you feel? Share that positive energy and experience, man.

so just made it back from my first con and i'm sitting here thinking of when is the next time i can go

I get what you mean. However, that's interesting. Toonami had a phase of adult lineups and all the hard hitters were at that time, Yu Yu Hakusho and Hellsing and FMA. As for today, right now, the lineup is fun and aggresive, maybe even your cup of tea. But pre 2012 daytime Toonami, I get you. Those were all soft shonens when I look back on it. Great for kids, but underwhelming for adults.

For sure, it was pretty late before and still is. It starts at 12 midnight every Saturday since its April 2012 revival. It's a blessing it's gone this long still.

So good to see you on the site, Travis. Do your thing, man. I've gone to a con before. My man, it's like the PG version of Halloween and anime-centric. There are a lot of stalls with collectibles and merchandise such as retro games and albums. There are the celebrities/panelists. The best part is typically meeting people and talking about what their cosplay of choice resonates with them. I remember that some of them, very few, were oddly eccentric though (coming from a weird guy like myself), but it comes with the territory. Depending on your Con, especially because of COVID, this would be the general thing. Have fun, talk to people, listen to your favorite panelists.

I'm getting a little nervous this is going to be my first Con anyone have ant tips. No cosplay the costume I ordered in Dec will not be ready until Aug they say. All other suggestions welcome
